McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.
Services
For the treatment of severe mental health and behavioral issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma and more.
For residents with co-occurring substance abuse issues, this track provides addiction education, along with participation in 12-Step programming and additional support groups.
A specialized program for young men who are struggling with mental health issues but have also been diagnosed with an intellectual disability.
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at McDowell Center for Children is a comprehensive, outpatient program designed individually to meet each patient’s specific psychiatric illness, behavioral problems and/or substance abuse issues.
